U.S. Government to release Feed the Future Guide on May 20

Rajiv Shah, administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, will present the Feed the Future Guide,the implementation strategy for the U.S. government’s global hunger and food security initiative, on Thursday, May 20, in Washington D.C. at a symposium organized by The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Thomas Vilsack, secretary, U.S. Department of Agriculture; Namanga Ngongi, president of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa; and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, president of Liberia, will deliver keynote addresses. Catherine Bertini and Dan Glickman, cochairs of The Chicago Council’s Global Agricultural Development Initiative, will moderate panels. Download the symposium agenda (PDF).
 

 

Throughout the day senior leaders from the Obama administration, Congress, and business, policy, NGO and international organization communities will share their views on policy and implementation challenges confronting U.S. and international food security activities.
