Rachel Voss

Rachel Voss serves as Communications and Research Associate and US-Africa Forum Co-Coordinator at the Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa. Ms. Voss manages communications with members and partners, handles logistics and planning associated with Partnership events, assists with research pertaining to Partnership projects and reports, and maintains the organization’s website, database, and resource library. Prior to joining the Partnership in February 2010, she interned and volunteered with a variety of organizations--both in Washington, DC, and in Africa--dedicated to global and community development, environmental justice, and women's empowerment. 
 
Ms. Voss has lived and traveled in East and North Africa and has studied U.S. food security assistance policy at length. She holds a B.A. in International Studies from American University, where her studies focused on development policy, African politics and culture, global environmental policy, food politics, and anthropology. Ms. Voss plans to pursue a career in sustainable development or natural resource management. She has studied Japanese, Arabic, and Swahili, and is now learning German.
