On July 26, USAID will host Mina Shahid for a talk that will explore key drivers needed to spark and sustain organizational change, such as a change champion within the project and the use of formal mechanisms for encouraging staff to take a facilitative approach, as well as intangible aspects of a culture of learning and innovating.

 

On July 18, please plan to join a panel discussion with Ms. Joan Rutaroh, Program Director of Uganda Development Trust (UDET) a United States African Development Foundation's (USADF) partner organization in Uganda, Mr. Alfred Nnam, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Uganda Embassy, Ms. Florence Rolle, Officer-in-Charge, FAO's Liaison Office for North America, and Mr. Todd Thompson, the Regional Director of Southern and Eastern Africa for NCBA CLUSA.

On July 20, the Africa Growth Initiative at Brookings and United Nations Development Programme will host a discussion of how the Africa Human Development Report 2012 findings can support the efforts of African governments and international development partners to promote economic growth while ensuring increased access to food and water.
