Grants.gov has announced a new Request for Applications (RFA) for a major component of Feed the Future work: the Agriculture Commercialization and Innovation (AC&I) Activity.  AC &I is a new platform to promote new and innovative partnerships, tools, and methodologies that improve market access for food insecure households in Feed the Future (FtF) countries...

Benin Republic President Yayi Boni emerged as the new Chairperson of the African Union. He replaced Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo whose one-year tenure has ended. Mr. Boni’s appointment was one of the highlights of the 18th AU Summit which ended in Addis Ababa on Jan. 30. In a speech, the new Chairperson called on fellow African leaders to strive for stability, security, reinforce continental integration, and promote infrastructure development in order to win the fight against poverty.
